Virtual EMDR Intensives in Florida
Virtual extended sessions from the comfort of your own home, designed for women who are ready to stop managing and start healing.
Is This for You?
You understand your patterns.
You have done the work in weekly therapy. You have the insight. You can name where things come from and why they show up the way they do.
But something is still not moving.
The anxiety is still there. The same relational patterns keep repeating. You know what is happening underneath and you still cannot seem to stop it from running your life.
You are not looking for more coping strategies or more insight.
You are looking for something that actually reaches the root.
That is what virtual EMDR intensives are designed to do.
You’re in the right place!
Before You Reach Out, You Probably Want To Know
-
A virtual EMDR intensive is an extended, focused session that gives your nervous system something weekly therapy rarely can: uninterrupted time to actually move through the work.
In a standard weekly session, much of the time is spent catching up, the deeper material begins to surface near the end, and then the session closes before anything fully processes. By the following week, life has pulled you back out of that space and you start again from the beginning.
An EMDR intensive changes that structure entirely.
Instead of one hour per week, we work together in an extended block of time — three hours or more — specifically designed for deep EMDR processing. There is no stopping and starting. No losing the thread. No waiting a week to continue what we just opened.
The work gets to go somewhere.
For many women, that concentrated time creates a quality of momentum that years of weekly therapy could not.

EMDR intensives are often the right fit for women who:
Have been in weekly therapy and still feel stuck in the same patterns
Understand their anxiety, perfectionism, or trauma intellectually but cannot seem to stop living it
Are ready to do deeper work and want to move faster than the weekly format allows
Have a specific issue, memory, or pattern they want to focus on and work through
Are highly motivated and ready to invest in real, lasting change
Have a demanding schedule that makes consistent weekly appointments difficult to sustain
If you have spent years collecting insight without experiencing the shift you are looking for, this format was built for exactly where you are.
-
Before the intensive, we meet for a 90 minute intake session. We clarify what you want to work on, review your history, and make sure you have the nervous system stability needed to engage deeper processing work safely. There is no rushing into this.
During the intensive itself, we use EMDR therapy as the primary modality. You will not need to narrate every detail of your history or talk through the same material repeatedly. EMDR works differently — it activates the brain's own natural processing system and helps it complete what it was not able to finish on its own.
After the intensive, we meet for a 30 minute follow-up session to integrate what happened and ensure you feel grounded and supported as the processing continues.
Everything happens virtually. As long as you are located in Florida at the time of the sessions, you can be in your own home, your own space, wherever you feel most settled and safe.

Yes. Research strongly supports the effectiveness of intensive therapy formats across a range of mental health conditions.
Studies have shown that intensive EMDR formats can lead to significant improvement in symptoms of PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, and depression, often matching or surpassing outcomes from traditional weekly therapy in a fraction of the time.
Key findings include rapid symptom reduction, with some studies reporting PTSD remission rates of 58 to 62 percent after intensive treatment. Research also shows improved treatment engagement and long-lasting results, with improvements maintained at follow-up assessments.
The intensive format works because it gives the brain and nervous system what they need to complete the processing cycle: sustained, focused, uninterrupted time.
What EMDR Intensives Can Help You Heal
Virtual EMDR intensives at The Orchid Women's Wellness Center are specifically designed to help with:
Chronic anxiety that persists even when life looks good on the outside
Perfectionism and the exhausting pressure to constantly perform
Patterns you keep repeating despite fully understanding where they come from
Burnout rooted in nervous system dysregulation rather than just overwork
Trauma, including relational wounds, attachment injuries, and high-functioning PTSD
People-pleasing and difficulty knowing what you actually want or need
The gap between what you know to be true and what you actually feel in your body
Faith-related struggles, including the experience of believing truth intellectually while your nervous system tells a different story
Weekly Therapy vs. EMDR Intensive
Weekly therapy:
10 to 15 minutes catching up on the week
20 to 30 minutes processing
10 to 15 minutes closing
Session ends. Life rushes back in. Resume next week
$700 for a month of weekly sessions.
Intensive therapy:
90 minute intake and assessment session
150 to 160 minutes of focused EMDR processing
10 to 15 minutes closing and grounding
30 minute follow-up integration session
$900 for one full 3 hour intensive — including intake and follow-up.
The difference is not just efficiency. It is the quality of what becomes possible when the work is given enough uninterrupted space to actually move.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A virtual EMDR intensive is an extended therapy session, typically three hours or more, designed to create sustained focus and momentum in your healing work. Unlike weekly therapy, the intensive format gives us enough uninterrupted time to move through deeper layers of EMDR processing without the stop-and-start cycle that can slow progress. Everything takes place virtually over a secure video platform. You can be in your home, wherever you feel most comfortable and settled.
-
We begin with a 90 minute intake session to review your history, clarify your goals, and ensure your nervous system is prepared for deeper processing work. From there we schedule your intensive session or sessions. After the intensive, a 30 minute follow-up session is included to support integration and help you feel grounded as the processing continues in the days that follow.

Yes. Research on intensive EMDR formats consistently shows significant improvement in anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, and related conditions, often with faster results than weekly therapy. Some studies report PTSD remission rates of 58 to 62 percent following intensive treatment. Long-term follow-up research shows these improvements are maintained over time.

That depends on what we are working on together. Most women come in with a specific pattern, memory, wound, or belief that has been difficult to move in weekly therapy. The intensive gives us the focused time to go deeper than a standard session allows. Many women leave feeling a meaningful shift they had not been able to access before. The processing often continues in the days after the intensive as the brain integrates what we worked on.

The first step is a free 15 to 20 minute consultation call. We talk about what you are carrying, I answer your questions, and together we determine whether an EMDR intensive is the right fit for where you are. If it is, we move forward from there. You can schedule your consultation using the button on this page.
-
EMDR intensives are self-pay only. Insurance does not typically cover intensive therapy formats, and I do not bill insurance for these services.
If cost is a consideration, I encourage you to think about the investment in terms of what the intensive replaces. A single 3 hour intensive at $900 includes your intake and follow-up and delivers a depth of focused processing that could take months of weekly sessions to reach — at a comparable or higher total cost over time.
Women who choose this format are typically ready to invest in something that actually moves the needle rather than continuing to spend time and money on a process that has not been enough.
If you have questions about fees or want to talk through whether the investment makes sense for where you are, we can discuss that on your consultation call.
If you have been carrying something for a long time and the weekly format has not been enough to move it, you do not have to keep waiting.
EMDR intensives are designed for women who are ready, not for women who are still deciding whether they deserve support.
If you are ready to find out whether this is the right next step for you, I would love to connect.
