Online Trauma Therapy in Miami

Trauma & EMDR Therapy for Women in Miami

Online trauma therapy for Miami women who look like they have it together and are tired of carrying it alone.

Trauma Therapy Miami with Sarah Harris, LCSW

Many women in Miami look successful on the outside but quietly struggle on the inside. Life here moves at full speed. Career demands, family, relationships, and the pressure to keep up can leave you exhausted, while the anxiety, shame, or painful memories underneath never fully go away.

Trauma does not always look like one big event. Sometimes it is years of small moments that taught your body to stay on guard. That is why understanding it rarely resolves it. EMDR and nervous system work reach the layer where it actually lives.

I am a Florida-licensed clinical social worker and my practice is fully virtual. You can do this work from home in Brickell, Coral Gables, Kendall, Doral, or Miami Beach, without adding a drive on I-95 or the Palmetto to an already full week.

Does this sound familiar?

If you're reading this, something already resonates.

You're not broken, and you're not too much. You're carrying something real, and it can change.

  • Constant anxiety, racing thoughts, or panic that feel impossible to control
  • Shame, guilt, or painful memories that undermine your confidence
  • Relationship patterns that keep repeating and leave you drained
  • Looking like you have it all together while feeling empty or overwhelmed
  • Pushing yourself with perfectionism and pressure to achieve more

How I work with trauma

We combine EMDR, body-based regulation, and your faith if you want it, in a plan paced to your nervous system rather than a fixed protocol.

01

EMDR

EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful experiences using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping. The memory stays, but it stops running your present. You do not have to relive every detail.

02

Nervous system regulation

Before and during the deeper work, we build tools that help your body settle, so you can feel safe and grounded even on the hard days.

03

Christian counseling, if you want it

For women who want faith integrated into their healing, I bring it into the work with care. If you don’t, that is respected.

04

Extended sessions and intensives

If you don’t want to wait months to feel better, a 90-minute session or a virtual EMDR intensive gives you more time for focused work.

Common questions

Trauma Therapy Miami, answered

Do you have an office in Miami?

No. My practice is entirely virtual. I see women in Miami, and throughout Florida, through secure telehealth, so there is no commute and no waiting room.

Does EMDR work online?

Yes. Research consistently shows virtual therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for the conditions I treat. EMDR works well over secure video, with eye movements on screen, audio tones through headphones, or tapping.

Do I have to relive my trauma in detail?

No. Trauma therapy is not about re-experiencing everything that happened. With EMDR and body-based approaches, you process memories in a safe, structured way, and you share only what feels right.

Can trauma therapy also help with anxiety, burnout, or depression?

Yes. Many women come to therapy for anxiety, stress, or depression that is connected to unresolved trauma. When we address the underlying cause, the relief tends to last.

What does it cost, and do you take insurance?

Individual sessions are $175 for 50 minutes and extended sessions are $265 for 90 minutes. I don’t bill insurance directly, but I provide superbills for weekly sessions that you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. EMDR intensives are self-pay only.

How do I get started?

Send a message through the contact form or call. We’ll set up a free 15-20 minute consultation to talk through your goals and see if it feels like a good fit. If it does, you choose a time for your first session.
